Because this homeowner was interested in reclaiming the beauty of the Spanish tile roof of her 5,000 square foot home but wished to avoid the high cost of replacement, she contacted the Orlando House Painters at Regal Painting.

The project began with an inspection of the deterioration and damage done by Florida’s harsh climate. Working with a certified roofer, any damage found was repaired and some tiles were replaced. Great care was taken to chemically clean the roof to remove any mildew, algae and chalky deposits while avoiding damage to the property and landscaping.

After allowing approximately 36 hours for the surface area to completely dry, Sherwin Williams Infinity chalk bond 100% acrylic primer sealer was applied to the entire roof area. This product permeated the tiles so that any remaining chalk was locked in to provide the team with a consistent substrate upon which to apply the finish coat. Once this sealer had cured for 24 hours, Infinity Alpine 100% acrylic semi gloss roof paint tinted to match the original color was applied.

At the completion of the project, the homeowner had achieved her goal of restoring her home to its original beauty and avoided the headache of replacing the roof while saving thousands of dollars.
